First Horizon Loan Modification Process

Home owners wishing to apply for a First Horizon loan modification will find that the process is quite simple. Borrowers will need to fill out an application for a loan modification and attach all the required supporting documents. The loan modification process will also require the borrower to submit a letter of hardship. This letter must provide in detail the reasons that the borrower is having current financial problems. Legitimate reasons include reduction in pay, death in the family, and medical problems. However, these are not the only acceptable reasons.

The First Horizon loan modification process can take up to two months to fully process. New laws regarding the loan modification process require both lenders and borrowers to meet specific deadlines with paperwork and responses. During this period it is very important that payments are continued to be made.
